Thanks, you're right. There's part of the other user's details at the top of that screenshot and I read that instead. Amended the post now.

It does look like it should be an easy fix to set a new password for the expired admin account though, just by trying to sign in to it. I'd strongly recommend turning off password expiry after that

Yes, that looks normal under the circumstances and should be easy to fix. Just try signing in as misahanu to get a chance to set a new password as explained in post #19.

Sorry but that is just the point the password for misahanu has expired, even though I enter it when I press yes- it is there in bright red letters !

If the admin challenge in your photo is what you see when signed into another account, such as Eee, then everything appears to be normal. Because the misahanu password has expired you are prevented from using its password to authorise anything but logging into misahanu should enable you to fix that [after which its password can be used to authorise things when you are in Eee]. So, log into mishanu don't just try to use it to authorise something else because that will continue to fail.

Because you have not posted the net user results or those for each account it lists I cannot be certain what advice to give you. However, the facts that misahanu is an admin account & that the admin challenge is normal make me think you can solve everything without a full reinstallation.

I know that you have tried renaming user accounts in the past. There are guides in this forum for these procedures but I am more concerned with getting you back up & running first.

Registry cleaners can cause serious problems in Windows.

The ONLY way misahanu can now set a new password is at the SIGN IN SCREEN.
