hello what im after is a way to start the computer when its in sleep mode in windows 10 when im not at home so i can use a remote to assess the computer but im getting stuck when restarting asking for a password.
im using task scheduler to create task to start with no problem then use "netplwiz" to set up no password but you still have to press a key to enter windows any suggestions plz.
I'm not sure that's possible as the remote client has to be active in order to remote access it. I've used Teamviewer for a long time now as I don't like MS cumbersome way of doing it (remote access). Teamviewer fully supports WOL (Wake on LAN), which allows you to boot a system remotely, and supports Log-in events when set up for this, so you can control a suitable system that is shut down
WOL is dependent on system setup and available hardware ( usually default these days is compliant ), and can also be set-up from within windows to work with Windows remote access, although it does need a two stage system - wake up the system and then remote into it.
