Change Computer Name in Windows 10, can't log in

I changed my computer name using the settings option (first way listed) in the tutorial Change Computer Name in Windows 10 .

Fine. But now I can no longer log in. My ordinary login works on another computer just fine, so it's to do with the login being associated with this computer's name. What to do?

    Thanks.

Yes, double check your username and password look for spaces, wrong letters capped or not. If all is correct then you probably messed up the new account with a slightly different password or username. Clinton J Wright is not the same as Clinton J. Wright this drove me crazy at one time until I finally figured it out. It that is is the case then you'll have to use the built-in Administrator account fix the account. I tried login again, but from the laptop keyboard, not my usual external one. Got in fine. I'd say either this computer also hates me, or I mistyped as you suggest. Evidence suggests either could be true..... Pity you can't reveal the password. Maybe one day this innovation will spread. I live in hope.

    Thanks, mate.
