Then it shows as len**** and when I click YOUR INFO and MANAGE it needs password B and when I click REMOVE it won't let me and says THIS IS YOUR ONLY PRIMARY ACCOUNT.
I have gone into USER ACCOUNTS via control panel and changed name from user to my name.

You don't want to remove the account since it is your only one.

Are you able to "Edit name" of your account online like below to change it to what you wanted instead?

    Ok, let's review.
    • Your Microsoft account aliases do not have the len address listed.
    • Your Microsoft account name online is correct.
    • You have a local account on the PC with the len address shown under "Your info".

I'm pretty sure you are signed in to an app with the len address, and is why you are seeing this.

As a test, click on the "Stop signing in to all Microsoft apps automatically" link below to see if that may remove it.

hello Shawn ..well did that or tried to,,,on the page you have shown I went to it and it says
my name and local account and administrator,,, underneath that it says
"Windows is better when your settings and files automatically sync.
Use a Microsoft account to access all your stuff on all your devices easily."
Then it says in a blue selectable link
Sign in with a Microsoft account instead
Which I clicked on and it wants an email phone or skype so I typed in case****@bt
    and this came up.

Now Shawn,,if I type in case********@bt will it get rid of the len*******@outlook Microsoft account which is what I want it to do.
I will wait for your reply.
By the way on the info screen if you notice it now says local account instead of len*******@outlook.
    Thanks Len

That confirmed it then. You have a local account on the PC and was signed in to some app with your len address. This is why it was showing in "Your info".

Clicking on the "Stop signing in to all Microsoft apps automatically" link stopped your local account from being signed in to the app with the len address, and is why it is now only showing as a local account in "Your info".

Basically, what you are doing now in your screenshot above will switch your local account on the PC to be a Microsoft account instead. If you type in the cas address, that is what should show in "Your info" afterwards.

Thanks Shawn but will that get rid of the len*****@bt.com Microsoft account that I can also sign in to on the internet which is what I want as I don't want them to have two accounts.?
    len

    This is an addendum Shawn
I have just tried to sign in to Microsoft with len****@outlook but I cannot find it to sign into where as before I had a choice to sign in with a different account, also when I look into the info of case*** it says it is the alias primary which is what I want so I am calling this as query fixed and will tick the box to show it.
Can I say thankyou very much for all your help.
