do I use the same usb that I made already, or is this something different?
I should follow along and put the number from the win7 into the box when its asks.
If it doesn't work, will it simply come back to the way it was, or will I not be able to use it?

I would create a new USB Thumbdrive.

The one you have will work but as part of the process it will check for updates. Not 100% sure but this will likely grab V1803, you have V1709, and this will just delay the process.

So go back to this page and download the Media Creation Tool and create a new key. (You need a new Media Creation Tool)

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/soft...load/windows10

Download the tool and then start the tool like you did the last time, create a USB.

Then execute the tutorial and key in your product key. If it asks questions use the right edition, home or pro, and try 64 bit first. Your edition will be on sticker.

Just so we are all on same page could you post make and model of device you will be installing on. Thanks

Just a couple of questions, when I download the tool mentioned above, which am I taking,
    The options are :
1st is to upgrade This PC
2nd is to create installation media (USB) to install Win 10 on a different machine.
    3rd is not what I want...I don't think.

I am thinking #2 not sure.
Here's the laptop it's (hopefully) going on,

go into the 2nd option on the download page for the tool - it says this,
Windows 10 Enterprise isn’t available in the media creation tool. For more info, go to the Volume Licensing Service Center.
    so......?

I'm confused. it went to the USB before...

Okay the media creation tool exe is on your desktop. You double click and it asks you if you want to update this pc or create media for other PC. You select create media. It writes to the USB key.

    Be patient.

Given the new feature update people are reporting long download times. Could be thousands of Window users downloading.
