I believe that everything that I wanted to hold on to has been removed onto usb's.
The Elevated Administrator account is no longer enabled.
Yes I did create the bootable that we used to get to the Elevated Administrator account. And I still have it.

Okay so what I'm going to suggest is that we first run an in place repair / upgrade.

As this media was created before this April 30th it should have V1709 on it. The hitch here is you are using Enterprise edition. Worth a shot.

Plug the USB thumb drive. Hopefully you can see the files on the thumb drive. Double click Setup.exe

It is all outlined in this tutorial. Older devices won't have the secure boot in BIOS but you could check.

Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

If you could tell us the type of laptop we can instruction on how to get into BIOS. You may have already been in BIOS when you booted from USB Thumb drive.

Hi, yep I think I get to BIOS byway of set-up, at the start, it's F1 I think,.. but I know what BIOS are, I have a small bit of experience in that area. So I'm going to go read the tutorial and if I have any questions I'll post, otherwise I'll just do it and let you know. Thanks!

I don't understand about the BIOS and the secure boot thing, also which one am I doing,... the keep files and apps, or just personal stuff or dump all.
I guess I don't understand where the BIOS fits in and if I have to do something or not and how do I know if I do.
Do I just take the USB that I used to get into the Elevated Administrator and hit the setup.exe and follow along, or is there more to it?

The BIOS may have an entry for Secure Boot. If so it is recommended it be disabled. Older devices don't have this option so have a look but if you don't find just exit BIOS.

Yes you need to double click on setup on USB Thumbdrive that you created.

I have 2 files, one is x64 the other is x86
both on the usb which one is it that I use if I have 64 bit?
and I dont see a exe in any of them.
these are the files on the USB

I downloaded both 64 and 32 when I got the utility but I don't know which is which, when I look at the files there is no exe, unless it's inside one of the files I have listed.

*Also, the little thing that comes at the bottom of the screen when you start up, the one that says what to push to go to boot options or setup, well, they no longer show up when I start or restart.

Fleet420, I thought a week or so ago you use the Windows Media Creation tool to create a USB Thumb drive that was bootable.

You then used this USB to start Windows and turned on the elevated admin.

Here is a screen shot when I plug in my USB key which should look just like yours.

As you said you had all your files we are going to ignore the Recovery disks, the ones with all the downloads.

Can you place your USB key in and take a screen shot of file explorer window.

    Thank you.

no I can get it after I take it because I can't get to where it goes, paint. I have no apps I have no start..I can use almost nothing.
When I look at the USB it does show all the files you show, but I have a set for x86 and a set for x64.
if I hit the set up, will it know which to take? because there is only one setup. should I go back and re-download and only take the 64bit.?
