    upgrade to 1709 account bug

    Hello,

    V1703
    User Account "philippe" points to C: \ Users \ philippe -> logical
    upgrade 1709
    User Account "philippe" points to C: \ Users \ philippe-h61mv-pc !!!!!!!!!!!

    Microsoft to create the new folder C: \ Users \ philippe-h61mv-pc during the upgrade

    C: \ Users \ philippe still exists with all data and settings

    C: \ Users \ philippe-h61mv-pc does not contain any transfer and software settings (edge, Firefox, Thunderbird ...)

    can we point the account "philippe" to C: \ Users \ philippe in the registry

    it seems to me that there was a solution on W7

    cordially

    philippe

    Hello Phillippe, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

    You can use the same method in the tutorial below with step 10 to change the user profile folder path in the registry to the correct one.

    Hello,
    thanks for the answer this served me as a base to solve problem related to the upgrade to version 1709
    the following registry key has been modified by Microsoft
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ ProfileList \ S-1-5-21-2053608035-1889310867-618153392-1000]
    "ProfileImagePath" = philippe-h61mv-pc
    I modified this registry key
    new "ProfileImagePath" = philippe -> correspondent C: \ Users \ philippe (1703)
    PC reboot
    I all my settings and data
    cordially
    philippe
