    No pin option after FRESH START


    Hi guys, after i did a fresh start i found i no longer had the pin option, just had password, i went to sign in options, clicked on pin i then had to enter my m/soft password, i then clicked on pin, but nothing but a glimpse of the activity ring, oh i did follow your piece on this fault when another member had the same problem, but to no avail ,thanks in advance, HPG62,954EA#ABU, win 10 version 10.0.16299.214

    If by fresh start, you mean "clean install" or "reset" you probably need to set up the PIN once again. To do that, click Settings → Accounts → Sign-in Options, then set up your PIN in the PIN section there.

    Yes clean install, been in sign in options, followed the instructions to no avail ,all i get a small glimpse of the activity ring after pressing pin, on a screen shot i have seen, there is a delete pin button next to the pin button, but its not on mine, the thread i read on here was dated 2016, thanks for the response,

    I've had Settings app to misbehave when setting a PIN a few times. If using Microsoft account to sign in to Windows, this has worked for me:

    • Switch to local account, do not set a password (tutorial)
    • Restart
    • Switch back to Microsoft account (tutorial)
    • Restart
    • Set PIN
