Changing user name on used computer

I got a used computer and when I set it up I logged in with my Microsoft account. This worked fine it changed my login and I am the admin of this computer. My problem is when I go into the file explorer under user it still says the previous users name. Is there a way to change this to my name?

    Thanks

The tutorial below can help show you how to rename your user profile folder.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I'm a newbie and it likes like a lot. I'll give it a try and report back.

I would honestly recommend you make a new account.

Renaming doesn't work as there are too many files (including those from Microsoft) that are not updated or even mentioned in that tutorial.

I've tried renaming accounts and while it initially appears to work it will come back and bite you later. Some things will fail for no apparent reason.

You'll spend days figuring out that your new name is stored as "OldName" not "NewName" in some .txt or .ini file.

The best option would be to clean install of course.
