    I agree.

One possible scenario which I would at least try is to make his account standard, then apply time restrictions as I told in my earlier post, and finally make the game shortcuts to him elevated as lx07 told you earlier.

    It should work.

It may be possible to set the user as a standard user and then create automatic Admin shortcuts to run the game, whilst not allowing access to admin features ...

Create Elevated Shortcut without UAC prompt in Windows 10 Customization Tutorials

You may have issues with some games as the developers just create a link to other admin only programs ( or just ignore the development Rules/Guidlines that Microsoft provide and store user files in a protected system area and not in the User folders ), but is worth a try

    Net user command problem

    Hi all,
I am new here and I have a small Windows 10 experience, but I am keep improving my skills
I have encountered some problem last time.
I have tried to change restricitions for local user account and I use Kari's helpful post... but unexectedly I encountered some problems and I don't understand what's going on...
When I use a command: NET USER glu /times:Sa,09-18 it works fine.
But if only I change anything it stop working, for example, change to any another day:
NET USER glu /times:M,09-18 doesn't work.
I got an error (translated to eng.): An unacceptable range of days has been provided.

When I am trying below syntax to set restricions for more than one day as in Kari's example, I am getting an error as below:
    ---------------------------------
    C:\WINDOWS\system32> net user glu /time:M-T,9-17;W-Th,11-15;F-Sa,8-14;Su,16-22

    + net user glu /time:M-T,9-17;W-Th,11-15;F-Sa,8-14;Su,16-22

    + ~
    Missing argument in parameter list.
    + CategoryInfo : ParserError: (:) [], ParentContainsErrorRecordException

Please help me some advice, I don't understand what is wrong
    Best wishesh

Open an elevated Command Prompt, following command would allow user JohnDoe to sign in only weekdays between 09:00 and 17:00 (9AM and 5PM):

    net user JohnDoe /time:M-F,09-17

    All weekdays the same time:

    net user JohnDoe /time:M-S,09-17

Time can be given both in 12 and 24 hour formats:

    net user JohnDoe /time:M-F,9AM-5PM

Day or day range and time are separated with comma. Time can only be given in full hours (13 or 1PM is OK, 13:15 or 1:15PM not). Days can be given either as full names (Monday, Tuesday etc.) or abbreviations (M,T,W,Th,F,Sa,Su), or combination of these. Days can always be given in English regardless of Windows display language, but localized day names can also be used. For instance in Swedish Windows it's the same if I use Monday - Friday or Måndag - Fredag.

Following command would allow user JohnDoe to sign in only on Mondays and Tuesdays between 09:00 and 17:00 (9AM-5PM), on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 11:00 and 15:00 (11AM-3PM), on Fridays and Saturdays between 08:00 and 14:00 (8AM-2PM), and on Sundays between 16:00 and 22:00 (4PM-10PM):

First, using the exact command shown in my post you quoted to set up time restrictions on various days in English Windows, the same command you tell is not working for you, I can only say it works without issues:

Time limit on Pc or allow pc to use for certain hours.-image.png

The key here might be the language. Something you said hints that your Windows might be in Polish:

Have you tried with Polish names for days?

    Hi there
I agree with the person who said : "Just tell the kid to logoff" especially if kid is 5 - 7 years old.
Why go to all the hassle of trying to use software to prevent logon -- surely part of responsible parenting is to teach kids - especially young ones what they are allowed and not allowed to do.

Personally though I would not allow a kid to use any of my computers if I use them for serious work -- just give him / her one for themselves (you can get decent machines really cheap these days) and just take it away at the appropriate times.

    Cheers

    Resolved !

    Kari, you are awesome !
Thank you very much. As I wrote my windows experience is small.
So, I've never would suspected that MS will translate system's commands...
You have absolutely right. When I changed day's abbreviation to Polish it worked:
net user glu /time:PN-pt,15-17 (monday - friday)

But... strange think is that for Saturday with English abbreviation 'Sa' it works too :) in Polish this abbrev. should be 'So', really strange.
    Anyway, thank you so much.
    Best wishes,
    Piotr
