System image is a feature of Windows Backup included in Windows 10. A system image is a copy of the drives required for Windows to run. It can also include additional drives. A system image can be used to restore your computer if your hard drive or computer ever stops working; however, you can't choose individual items to restore.

This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable the ability to create a system image using Windows Backup for all users in Windows 10.

You must be signed in as an administrator to enable or disable the system image feature.

I am intrigued - why would anybody disable ability to create a system image backup in the first place unless in a corporate environment perhaps?

Even then, afaik you need admin rights to do a backup within Windows, and most corporate users do not have admin rights.

I guess if they use a 3rd party system image, and don't want anyone with admin rights to mistakenly create a system image with Windows Backup.
