I am using 1909, basically when I install OS, the Admin and Administrator profiles work fine but if I add another profile (Domain or Local) that gets errors as well not working. I found one solution, but its take time.
the solution is.. I go to Administrator profile and copy default profile to user profile and login again in user profile and its work.

khaliddubo, you note that when you add another profile it is not working. I'd like to just know for my own reference what exactly is not working.

In my case, I get the reset notifications but as far as I can tell, everything seems to be working. If I know what is not working for you I may be able to do some additional testing.

    Thanks!

Keep a partition from formatting or deletion on a hard disk

    Hi Kari,

Thank you for answering my previous question in the comment sections on Create Recovery Drive in Windows 10 tutorial page. I have another question and I hope here is the right place to ask, otherwise let me know to post it somewhere else.
    My Question:
I have one hard disk on the PC (Ex. 128Gb HDD/SSD) and want to allocate 8Gb for a recovery partition. I would like to know how to configure the "Disc Configuration" part in the answer file in a way that it prevents windows setup process from deleting or formatting the 8GB partition, but deletes or formats the rest partitions and prepares the disk for new installation with zero touch method! I believe the first step is setting WillWipeDisk to false but not sure about the other settings.
(The recovery partition is just an example and can be any data partition that I prefer not to format or wipe it)

Kari. Is it necessary to input a password in the answer file for OOBE. Can we not leave the password configuration pass blank or better still delete the password configuration pass?

You can leave the password blank. I had seen some difficulties setting a blank password in my testing but found a workaround that works every single time. From my own notes on the topic:

There seems to be a problem with this field accepting a blank password. To work around this, enter anything in the Value field, making sure to hit Enter afterward. Then clear the password and again hit Enter. The password is now set to a blank password.

Honestly, it took closer to 30 hours to write, excluding test installs but including about six hours to try to find what caused this error when I thought I was ready and tested the install media:
    Attachment 161194

That error message when you get it after running Sysprep means installation has gone beyond salvation, you must start from scratch. At the end I found out, as so often before, that the error was due a stupid newbie mistake I had done.

In addition, it took a bottle and a half cheap supermarket whisky, two frozen microwave pizzas and about quarter of kilo dark roasted espresso.

I have absolutely no idea about what you mean? You need to explain it better.

Great tutorial. Thank you for your work.
I would like to customize, unattend and deploy a W10PRO image over 10 inhomogeneous computers on a Lan without any Active Directory.
WDS is able to do pour customization and deplyment but I do not know how I can manage all the unattend aspects.
    Have you any idea ?

Sorry for my previous post. I had not seen that my issue had already been discussed before.
I just have seen the post of MaWe on 17/12/19 and Hsehestedt Kari replies. I will begin to work with that.

Windows could not prepare the partition selected for installation

    Greetings everyone,

I'm trying to create an autounattend.xml for Windows 10 using WSIM to make the XML. I have the felowing issues:

    1) PE ask me for language, even if it's set in the answer file which I changed from en-US to en-IN

    2) PE ask for to select a disk, even if it's set in the answer file

    3) After choosing disk 0 from the Windows Setup, I get this error: Windows could not prepare the partition selected for installation

However, when I reboot the system, the partitions are created as per my answer file and clicking next works without any error. Problem is I want it to work on first boot, not on second boot.

One lasting thing after installation of Windows 10 when I checked disk management Recovery partiton is showing as RAW under File System instead of Basic

    Here's the script: https://pastebin.com/RET8DBVQ
