    Following information
Very strange. I have no ideas. Works perfectly here. I just run a test by following the instructions in tutorial to the letter, copy & pasting autounattend.xml and unattend.xml files from tutorial and creating ISO as told.

    No issues.

Sorry but as there seem to be no errors in your answer files, I really do not know why that happens to you.

I understand, I also checked several times to make sure I was not making any mistakes. One note, I generated the image with a WinPE Live OS, I generated both dism and imagex. I will format and customize windows again and use the version of WINPE from Microsoft to test. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. As soon as I can solve the problem I will publish the solution here.

With Windows 10, only use either use a valid Windows 10 install media or Windows PE to boot sysprepped Windows to PE. Do not use ImageX with Windows 10, use OSCDIMG instead.

Capture the image, copy Windows ISO content to a folder, replace original install.wim with your captured one, and create ISO or USB exactly as told in tutorial.

Sorry, I do not understand everything.

At what point would I use the OSCDIMG?
I've never heard of him, sorry for the innocent question.

At the very end of the tutorial is short Step Eight. If you have followed the tutorial steps One through Seven, this last step contains two links:

The one highlighted yellow contains link to a tutorial to show how to create a USB install media: PowerShell Scripting - Create USB Install Media for Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

The link highlighted blue contains a link to a tutorial which instructs how to use OSCDIMG.EXE (which replaced now deprecated ImageX) to create a bootable ISO image: Create Windows 10 ISO image from Existing Installation | Windows 10 Tutorials

This tutorial was really good. I have a quick question, though.

When I did the steps in the tutorial, I assumed that the hard drives would be GPT formatted. But I have a couple of computers that are not.

Can I just copy the ISO and change my autounattend.xml? Or do I have to re-install the reference machine, capture the disc image, etc again?

    Also, a quick comment/suggestion:

When I did the tutorial, I also set up the installer to join my company's domain. Maybe some notes about that would be helpful. It was a little scary for me to set it up "alone", since it's so hard to tell if different tutorials will work together.

I did it with these keys:

First, welcome to Ten Forums CaptainPlanet!

The reference image is both hardware and firmware independent and can be used on any computer capable of running Windows 10, subject to processor architecture (x64 / x86) being correctly set in answer file.

You just need to copy the answer file autounattend.com and in the copy, change CreatePartition and ModifyPartition values to match MBR disk and use it. The unattend.xml file is the same for GPT and MBR machines, it needs no modifications.

See values for GPT and MBR CreatePartition settings in tutorial step 3.14, and for ModifyPartition settings in tutorial steps 3.15 through 3.18.

These two settings are the only ones that are different on GPT and MBR answer file.

When I have some extra time, I might just do that

    Good afternoon Kari, I again.

I used the dism by AIK and everything worked normally, I was able to generate the customized image and everything right.
But, I was importing the .wim in Windows Deployment Services (WDS) and the error with the message "The file does not contain a valid install image", do you know what it can be?

I have to admit I do not know WDS too well, being more familiar with MDT. In MDT, I've very seldom had issues with importing custom WIM. Just to get a screenshot, I now imported my customized W10 version 1803 image:

Those few times I couldn't import WIM, a workaround has worked every time; I use the WIM to create complete Windows ISO and import it instead:
