    Hello mate, :)

Yes, you sure could if you like.
Thanks Shawn for the reassurance. I am going to do just that, because this shortcut was very useful. :)

    Good morning Shawn.

Since I'm in a row….. would you find it interesting to add a 4th option for “Full shutdown and restart PC with warning, to Recovery Command Prompt.”, to restart and open Command Prompt at Boot, so scripts can be run freely, without any file locking?

    Code:
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DesktopBackground\Shell\Restart\shell\003flyout]
"MUIVerb"="Full shutdown and restart PC with warning, to Recovery Command Prompt."
    "CommandFlags"=dword:00000020

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DesktopBackground\Shell\Restart\shell\003flyout\command]
    @="shutdown /r /o"

UPDATE: Following Shawn's @Brink correction, the above reg file addition boots to Advanced Startup options, from where you can choose to boot to the Command prompt.

    Hello Dimitri @ddelo,

The shutdown /r /o command would restart to Advanced Startup Options instead of to a recovery command prompt. Is that what you meant?

Yes, that's what I meant. I just took it one step forward, to the command prompt.
Sorry!.... and it's early in the morning for you to deal with jumpy conclusions....

There should be a more complicated bcdedit command to reach the command prompt....if not mistaken.

I've added "Restart to Advanced Startup Options" for now to help.

How would I modify the registry file to add Restart to This PC right-click menu rather than Desktop right-click to avoid too much clutter on the Desktop context menu?

One more question Brink....if I wanted to add the Restart (or Shutdown) with all of the options to This PC, then would I replace the existing lines
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DesktopBackground\Shell\Restart]
    with this line
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\shell] ?

Correct, but I created a .reg file below for you to add Restart to the This PC context menu.

    Add_Restart_to_This-PC_context_menu.reg

Before you merge the .reg file, you will have to change the owner of the shell key below to "Administrators" and set its permissions to "Allow" "Administrators" full control.

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\shell

Perfect!! Thank you! And, for the corresponding "Shut Down" menu added to This PC Right-Click, the reg file would be modified similarly? I think I am starting to understand this registry editing a little bit.
