    Hi Brink

    Thank you for the confirmation...:) ...I assumed it would install everything within the manifest file.
    The reason I thought I would try this is to resolve an intermittent issue (Windows bug) I am getting on where the Start Menu and Cortana search become non responsive, reading up some people say to re-install all windows apps...which I would prefer not to do, so will try just Cortana.
    Have you by any chance experienced the issue/ know of a fix?

    Thanks again.

    I haven't had this issue, but it's worth a try to reinstall and re-register Cortana to see if it may help.

    Hi, how relevant is this to the search bar in 1903, with the separation of search and Cortana?

    Specifically, where the search bar is unresponsive, is there an appropriate tutorial that might be suggested? Thanks!

    I don't think it would be relevant anymore for Search, but it won't hurt anything to try and see.

    You could try restarting the explorer process or try the Search and Indexing troubleshooter to see if that may help.

    The Cortana search windows just stopped working for me only in one user account but the fix mentioned worked for me - this one:

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.Windows.Cortana | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Microsoft.Windows.Cortana has changed name to Microsoft.Windows.Search.

    To fix this issue for my user in Windows 10 2004 I ran the following command in PowerShell:
    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.Windows.Search | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Hello bajanap, and welcome to Ten Forums.

    Actually, Cortana and Search have been completely separated in Windows 10 version 2004 now.

    Cortana's new app package name is now Microsoft.549981C3F5F10 instead for Windows 10 version 2004. Tutorial has now been updated for this.
