No, Snipping Tool isn't the app that's still allowed to run. I know this because I can't explicitly start Snipping Tool when I enable the policy; I do get the error dialog that you show in your article.

I don't know which app is running. I initially thought it was Snip & Sketch, but I don't think that's it either because I set the Snip & Sketch toggle to off in my Background apps settings (see screenshot 1) and even uninstalled Snip & Sketch, but the tool (whatever it's name) is still activating when I press Shift + F6 (see screenshot 2). It's still activating even after I restarted my computer.

Ah, ok. Yep, that would be the Snip & Sketch app from the Microsoft Store instead of the Snipping Tool app.

If wanted, you could uninstall the Snip & Sketch app below instead.

    Sadly, that didn't work either.

    1. I ran the command below.

Does the Snip & Sketch app still show in the Start menu > All Apps list?

If so, are you able to uninstall the app from that location instead?

The Snip & Sketch app isn't in the Start menu > All apps list.

Hi Paul, option 6 requires that I know the PackageFullName of the app to uninstall. According to option 7, the Snip & Sketch app's PackageFullName has the form *Microsoft.ScreenSketch*. Because I ran the command Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers *Microsoft.ScreenSketch* | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers in an Administrator Windows PowerShell session, the Snip & Sketch app was deleted for all users. Therefore, options 6 and 7 can't help me.

I must admit that I'm not sure why the keyboard shortcut still opens the app even though the app is uninstalled.

Please post a screenshot of it.
Please post the corresponding command line shown in Task manager, Processes.
Command line is one of the optional columns that can be chosen by right-clicking on any existing column header.
