Hello Randomizm, and welcome to Ten Forums.
It's always possible. What do hear or see instead?
You can double check the steps to make sure you followed them exactly, and everything checks out or not.
Make sure the .wav file is unblocked, in a location (ex: "C:\Windows\Media") that all users have access rights, and the .wav file is not too long or large.
Just to verify, this will only play when you select to Shut down the computer, and not for any other power option (ex: restart, sleep, hibernate, etc...).
If your computer shuts down extremely fast, there may not be enough time to play the sound.
I suppose post screenshots showing all the settings in your created task for this to see if anything may stand out.
I have a macbook pro, its a brand new one and i have a license for windows. the problem is i dont know how to make the correct path, and its not that its not comptlely working, sometimes i hear half of the soundtrack and most time i dont hear it, if you want i can email the .wav file and you can test it or try and help me :) I cant post my own threads becuase i dont know how i hope you can help ! the wav file is the windows 98 shutdown sound im not sure if its too long
Hi @xRx
Sorry but that does not work in Windows10 1909 x64 Home. The reg key is there and if enabled it will add a "Windows Exit" event in Sounds that accepts a .WAV sound and tests OK, but when shutdown it won't play.
