Yes, I was referring to the Startup folders.
Understood. Thank you for the clarification!
Hello @bamajon1974,
As Matthew has already explained, the folders are different for those.
The Scripts already in the Tutorials for those that you are asking about work perfectly.
I hope this helps.
Here's the Windows XP logon and shutdown sounds (.wav)

Yep, the task was created succesfully. However, a WMP pop-up screen appears on my desktop while the logon sound is being played. That was not what I had in mind. Unfortunately, I can't delete this task. I've tried to do that via the bat file, and I've also downloaded the second bat file to delete this task, but to no avail. I can't find the task in Task Manager either. I've deleted the TenForums entry in my registry, but still the task is being executed. Please, anyone, help me out here!
Please specify which batch script you have used to create the task.
I've downloaded the batch file from this post, named 'Play_Sound_at_Logon_Passwordless'. There's an option for creating the task, and also an option for deleting it. I ran the file again and had it delete the task. I got a confirmative message, the task had been removed. But the logon sound is still there. The second batch file - Delete_the_scheduled_task (logon) - failed to find the specified file.

Hey! Deleting the TenForums entry in the registry, and possibly running AVG TuneUp to clean up the registry, seems to have worked after all! The logon sound - and the annoying WMP pop-up screen - is gone! What a relief!
