Hello, can @Kari or anyone please help me?

I'm trying the "Run Windows Setup from a networked PC" route.

I'm able to do everything in the guide up until the beginning of part four: I can share files between both PCs just fine. I'm using SMB1, the laptop where I need to clean-install is a W10 Home, the other is W10 Education.

    PROBLEM:
But, after I boot to command prompt, enter wpeinit (which gives no error or anything), and then try to enter the IP address (or name, of the other computer) and the rest of the location, as indicated in this guide, I get: "System error 1231 has ocurred. The network location cannot be reached..."

    WHAT I'VE TRIED:
I'm new to this, but I tried running "ipconfig /renew" just to see if it helped. It says: "The operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation".

I also changed the name of the PCs to have only caps and no hyphens, just in case. But it didn't help.

Does anybody have any idea of what went wrong? If I log back into Windows normally I can still share files between both machines just fine.

Thank you very much for your help.

You should probly be more detailed. A LOT more detailed.

    Example:
After typing the wpeinit command i typed net use W: "\\wrong ip here\or wrong share name here"

Then we could tell if your typo'd, wrong syntax, wrong slash (used a \ instead of a /) but how you say it doesnt leave much to go on besides asking more questions that should have already been included.

Sorry. I used: net use W: "\\192.168.0.3\W10 Image" and also: net use W: "\\NAMEOFPC\W10 Image"

Yes, it is the correct IP. And, yes the share name is precisely that. (I also tried with the exact name of the other PC.)

well, if it is saying the network location cant be reached, ip address or something is off with the network. at the command prompt, before wpeinit, what does it say if you do "ipconfig /all"?

    It says:
    Host name: minint-8...
Primary dns suffix: THIS IS BLANK
    Node type: Hybrid
    IP routing enabled: No
    WINS proxy enabled: No
