It might be that we see differently what a level of UAC means. For me a level can only be selected when UAC is enabled, therefore UAC level has nothing to do with this; UAC prompt is always shown regardless of its level.

There are no levels to choose when UAC is disabled, which is then completely another story.

UAC enabled: prompt will be shown regardless the UAC level.

Ok, we're kinda going around in circles. My meaning of level is what he has it set to. If it's off, it's off....no prompt. That is all I was trying to get across.

Yes, reading our recent posts again I can see where the misunderstanding originates. According to my logics, a feature can be enabled or disabled, its level selected only if the feature is enabled in the first place. A disabled feature has no levels, it's just disabled.

When you're not paying attention anything can happen. I obviously clicked yes instead of no and the rest is history :)

That I completely agree with and never disable mine. Still accidents happen. We're human, not robots :)

And I won't mention I accidentally deleted my game drive while trying to increase it's size. Completely and utterly my fault. Complete and utter stupidity on my part. But again, we're human

And no, I don't have those moments often. It is a rarity

Do you have UEFI or Legacy BIOS?

Check if Windows 10 is using UEFI or Legacy BIOS General Tips Tutorials

In that case, double check to see if you have the "windir" environment variable like below.

In addition, what happens when you try to boot to UEFI using Option One below?
