Sync Any Folder to OneDrive in Windows 10

If those files are being saved/synced to OneDrive online, then they will sync to any computer also set to sync with the same OneDrive.

Here's a few options you can experiment with to see what may work best for your situation.

1) Set OneDrive not to sync this Music folder with the OneDrive online so it will not sync to the other computers.

2) Mark OneDrive files as Online-only on any computer you do not want to sync on.

3) You could turn on Files-On-Demand for OneDrive on any computer you do not want to automatically sync.

Hello @Stigg,

Did the "D:\OneDrive\Music Files" folder already exist when you ran the command?

If so, this would be the reason since this folder get's created.

I closed OneDrive and renamed the "Music Files-Computer Name" folder back to "Music Files", rebooted and after a few hours, it all synced again.

It seems to be OK now. I am still not sure why it failed the first time. OneDrive seems to be a bit unpredictable at times.

I tried it. I created a link to "E:\Wallpaper" to which it accepted, but didn't work.

For some reason, the folder shows as "Wallpaper", but is really titled "Theme1".

When I tried to create the link to "E:\Theme1" it complained that E:\ is not an NTFS format [It's a 64 Gig SD card for moving data between macos and Win10 [Mini with BootCamp] formatted to ExFat so both OS's can read it.

Since E:\WallPaper didn't exist, but the link worked, I created the folder called Wallpaper, copied all the files to it from E:\Theme1, then checked OneDrive, and all the files were now there!

Conclusion: If the directory exists, it will check the format of the drive. If it doesn't, it will not check the format but it will still make the link, and you have to make it after...
