    Hi Brink.
    I have one other question.

I have the same music on another desktop and a laptop.
What will happen when I boot up one of those other computers?
Will it try to go through the entire sync process again?

So far, I have quickly closed OneDrive on those computers to avoid any problems.
If those files are being saved/synced to OneDrive online, then they will sync to any computer also set to sync with the same OneDrive.

Here's a few options you can experiment with to see what may work best for your situation.

    1) Set OneDrive not to sync this Music folder with the OneDrive online so it will not sync to the other computers.

Choose Folders for OneDrive Selective Sync in Windows 10

    2) Mark OneDrive files as Online-only on any computer you do not want to sync on.

Mark OneDrive Files as Always keep on this device in Windows 10

    3) You could turn on Files-On-Demand for OneDrive on any computer you do not want to automatically sync.

    Thanks Brink.
I'll play around with it and see what works best.

My other computer is syncing, but it doesn't display what it is.
I would have thought that OneDrive would know if the files are the same. Maybe by its hashes.

    Here's an update.
My other computer finally started showing what files OneDrive was uploading, and it was uploading all my music again.
So, I de-selected that folder in settings. I don't know how it got selected to start with. The OneDrive settings must sync.
I hope it doesn't de-select the music folder on this computer now.

My OneDrive folders somehow decided to switch back to the default location of C:\Users\%username%\OneDrive (%UserProfile%\OneDrive)
I had them set to D:\OneDrive.

So, I have now changed it back to D:\OneDrive, but I am having trouble getting my music folder setup again without having to upload it all again.

I have tried using this command.
    Code:
    mklink /j "D:\OneDrive\Music Files" "D:\Music"
But after a long time searching, OneDrive said it couldn't sync and created another folder name of Music Files with my computer name attached to end of it like this. Music Files-Computer Name.

Or can only this command be used? I would have rathered the Junction folder be in the same folder as my current OneDrive folder of D:\OneDrive.
    Code:
    mklink /j "%UserProfile%\OneDrive\Music Files" "D:\Music"

I wonder if I may have more luck using Link Shell Extension. But I guess it does the same thing.

    Hello @Stigg,

Did the "D:\OneDrive\Music Files" folder already exist when you ran the command?

If so, this would be the reason since this folder get's created.

    Hi @Brink

    Thanks for your reply.
I closed OneDrive and renamed the "Music Files-Computer Name" folder back to "Music Files", rebooted and after a few hours, it all synced again.

It seems to be OK now. I am still not sure why it failed the first time. OneDrive seems to be a bit unpredictable at times.

I tried it. I created a link to "E:\Wallpaper" to which it accepted, but didn't work.

For some reason, the folder shows as "Wallpaper", but is really titled "Theme1".

When I tried to create the link to "E:\Theme1" it complained that E:\ is not an NTFS format [It's a 64 Gig SD card for moving data between macos and Win10 [Mini with BootCamp] formatted to ExFat so both OS's can read it.

Since E:\WallPaper didn't exist, but the link worked, I created the folder called Wallpaper, copied all the files to it from E:\Theme1, then checked OneDrive, and all the files were now there!

Conclusion: If the directory exists, it will check the format of the drive. If it doesn't, it will not check the format but it will still make the link, and you have to make it after...
