    I understand.

Did using the take ownership option help?
I didn't try. I read at a glance & found it quite intricate at first glance. I'll try reading it again carefully at first available opportunity & attempt to apply. Then I'll share.

In the meantime, can you help me solve the challenge of OneDrive?

I'm hoping that after you take ownership of the folders with the permission issues, you may be able to sync them with OneDrive.

Shawn, the issue is not of the ownership. It's when I had the ownership before system crash, even then I faced the challenge of syncing two folders at two ends. mklink gives the error message that the destination has the folder with this name.

    Rahul,

Since you're having these issues with syncing to OneDrive, you might consider or test using Google Drive along with Google Backup and Sync installed on your computer to sync the folders/files with Google Drive instead. You get 15 GB of storage free.

Back up & sync files with Google Drive - Computer - Google Drive Help

The tutorial below will help you to add Google Drive to the navigation pane in File Explorer for easier access.

Thanks, Shawn 😊. I appreciate what you said. I was earlier using Google Drive with all these tools. I migrated from G Drive to OneDrive as it has 1TB space free with MS Office 365 annual subscription. My purpose doesn't get solved with G Drive. As I said earlier also, I'm sure there must be other people facing a similar situation. I'm not the only one.

It's ok if there is no solution visible at the moment. It'll certainly emerge.

    Regards,

I must admit that I'm not sure what may be causing your issue.

Other than starting from scratch with new folders to try and sync, I'm not sure either.

Hello bordel, and welcome to Ten Forums.

I'm afraid there's not a way to exclude a file in a folder or drive you set to sync with OneDrive other than keeping the file saved at a different location.

    I have a question

Sync Any Folder to OneDrive in Windows 10-untitled4.png
Is this normal? I have 3 folders selected in the screenshot to sync to OneDrive using your method, but it's been hours and the status of them are still "Sync Pending".

Even though they show sync pending, do they actually appear in OneDrive yet?

If not, you may need to manually sync OneDrive to update.
