    Hello @Brink,

I have been able to use the instruction above to sync a folder on my computer to OneDrive. However, if a document is revised, the newest version is not synced to OneDrive. Is there any way to make this happen without changing the name of the file?

    Thanks!

Hello Wralph, and welcome to Ten Forums.

The file syncs for me between the two linked folders on the PC, but I have noticed that it may take a while to actually sync to the online OneDrive.

@Brink you are right! I found that the issue I am having is the Flow that I have linking two folders together in OneDrive. One from a private file to a public "read only" file. Working through that now. Thanks for the fast response!

This is my go-to utility for creating junctions in Windows:

    Hi Brink,

    Thanks for your tutorial.

I just gave it a try and OneDrive seems to synchronizing a local folder with one on OneDrive.
(local: X:\JPG -> JPG on OneDrive)

The X:\JPG folder is on my desktop PC.

I would like to have the same setup with my laptop: on my laptop there is also a JPG folder. Is it possible to have that synchronized with JPG on OneDrive?

Secondly, is there a way to perform synchronization from OneDrive to any local drive (either laptop or PC) ONLY when the folder is accessible.

Both local folders are on an password protected encrypted drive, the folders are not available unless I open those drives.

Probably dumb questions, but frankly speaking, so far I have never been using OneDrive, except then for sharing files with friends. Am using laptop since a couple of days, hence I am investing how to best use OneDrive.

Oh, btw, I also would like to know how to remove a symbolic link in this scenario.
    Without loosing data.

    C:\Users\UserName>mklink /j "%UserProfile%\OneDrive\JPG" "N:\JPG"
    Junction created for C:\Users\UserName\OneDrive\JPG <<===>> N:\JPG
    C:\Users\UserName>

I believe I read somewhere that I should remove (rmdir) the linked folder or so, i.e. the \JPG in red..(?)
