UPDATE: https://www.tenforums.com/windows-10-...ble-today.html
All Windows 10 ISO file downloads will now be for the new Windows 10 version 1511 build 10586.3 released today.
I am now downloading this long anticipated, for me, ISO! One question, please:
I am on build 10565 and I am using the Media Creation Tool to get this. I could not select Pro or Home, though, neither any other setting. I need the Pro and I have the Pro (10565) right now. It IS the Pro that is coming in right now, correct?
Thank you!
PS: in the Media Creation Tool I kept the "Recommended Settings for this PC" or something like that. I kept this checked.
Hello Joanne,
Uncheck that option, and see if you are able to select the edition you wanted. :)
As long as you have the correct edition selected for the ISO, it'll be fine. You can use either option though.
Guys, the download has completed and now I have on my desktop an ISO called "Windows" and just that...
Is there any way to verify that this is actually Windows 10 Pro before burning it to my USB thumb drive and begin my clean installation?
Thank you.
Joanne, :)
You can mount the ISO (double click on ISO), and run the command below to see what edition it's for. Substitute E in the command for the drive letter of the mounted ISO.
ISO - See what Language, Edition, and Architecture of Windows 10
dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:E:\sources\install.esd /index:1
OR
dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:E:\sources\install.wim /index:1

Well, when I mount the ISO DVD drive (G:\ appears. But when I give the command in CMD (admin) with G: it says it cannot find the file
Note: I entered install.esd instead and it worked.
Is this one all right then? Should I clean install?
