Thank you
It depends on the version of Windows 10.
Find Windows 10 Version Number
2004 19041.1288
20H2 19042.1288
21H1 19043.1288 (current)
After all these years, I still prefer the 'whirrr' sound of the DVD drive when installing OS. Compared to the Recovery USB from the manufacturer, generating your own install media doesn't come with the bloatware. I'm used to manually getting my own drivers so that isn't much of a problem. Activating the digital licence is still wonky if you bought from MS Store (e.g. Home -> Pro Upgrade) which I recently discovered was a known issue in the MS Community but that isn't the fault of the MCT.
Thanks for this, I'm happier with an actual install DVD.
Thanks for tutorial.
When will be finally released LTSC 2021 any news?
Hi there
@krollo
If you create it from UUPDUMP (100% Microsoft) there's absolutely 100% no bloatware !!!
Many users on this site and also on the Eleven Forum (W11) prefer this method and use it often for installing new builds etc.
Then if you still prefer physical media use Rufus etc to create a bootable usb thumb drive -- physical DVD's are (or have gone already) the way of the DODO. Even machines a few years old (especially laptops) rarely come equipped with DVD bays any more. If you have loads of old DVD's - archive them as isos, and for commercial DVD's (movies etc) rip them to isos and play with KODI / VLC etc.
I don't even have any more music CD's -- all ripped to flac (compressed LOSSELESS) years ago.
Cheers

Hey @jimbo45
I created my new install media ISO from Microsoft's official MCT and no bloatware there also but if I knew about uupdump before that, I would have used it to get the latest build. :)
I guess DVDs will always have a place in my heart since I gew up with them during the PlayStation 2 era haha. I have a modern midtier gaming laptop now and I still keep an external DVD writer on the side. Hearing the "whirr" sound is pretty nostalgic and I still like it every once in a while. :)
[QUOTE=Brink;2321353]Media Creation Tool (MCT) has now been updated.
The ISO file or USB created by MCT will now install Windows 10 version 21H1 build 19043.1288.
Some basic help, please. I want to use an ISO to do a Repair Install on a system that has Win10 Pro 21H1 build 19043.1348 right now. Is my best choice to wait until there is an ISO that is more current than the -.1348 that is currently installed? Thanks.
why "Windows ISO Downloader" tool by HeiDoc.net haven't release new version since January 2021?
