Looks like 16299.15 to me - the 32-bit ISO I downloaded from the Insider page is identical (with checksums) to the public ISO I get from the MCT page by using option 1 from here

Also I just installed the one from the Insiders site in a VM without networking switched on and winver is reporting 16299.15.

Well, eh ... stupidly enough, I didn't ...
(I normally do, making an image, but this time, well, I forgot and that is the truth.)

So, in my case, the update didn't work and whilst I should have taken that into account and therefore have created an image, well, as said, I didn't

Anyway, when the update fails (in my case it did, for unknown reasons), Windows will restore the previous Windows. That sounds fine, but it appears that it is not the same as an image.

The clipboard seems to malfunction within Excel 2016: a copy-paste in Excel 2016 does not work as before.
Maybe also within other Office applications, I didn't try.
Office 'repair' does not solve the issue., hence the only solution is to install Office from scratch.

Am just posting this here to warn everyone: make an image...

There is a very quick and easy fourth way of downloading official isos directly which does not involve the Slow Ring site, so you do not have to be an Insider.

1) Use Epdge, and select F12 developer tools

2) Optional - click on icon button to make developer screen a separate window

3) Click on emulation tab

4) Changer useragent to Safari Apple Ipad

5) keeping developer tool window open, visit media creation tool homepage

6) You will get redirected to download page where you can select to download iso directly.

Note: you can do similar in other browsers but with Edge it is so easy and everybody has it. You can also just visit mct site with non windows phone mobile phone or tablet.
