    @Joanne, :)

Kari's tutorial is a good option to use for that.
    Thanks Brink

    In option one it says:

An ISO file from the Media Creation Tool (MCT) uses sources\install.esd which is a compressed version of install.wim, but can still be used as a source image for DISM.

Why can I not make DISM work then? Is what you write valid? Would you like to re-check it, please?

@f14tomcat , thank you for warning me before even starting reading the tutorial. :)

    - Does anyone know if an ISO with install.wim is available officially from Microsoft, and if so, where can I get it from?
    - If it is not available, does anyone know when will it become available?

    Thank you.

You can use ESD with DISM, but it's not always as reliable as WIM right now with the current builds.

Personally, I find a repair install more reliable.

Use the Windows ISO download tool from here:
Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool

It creates links to the official Microsoft.com download site to get the old style ISOs that will have install.wim in them. I'm downloading 64-bit version 1703 right now and will verify in a few minutes that it has install.wim in it.

UPDATE: just verified it. The standard Windows 10 choice gets you an ISO file downloaded directly from Microsoft.com servers that contains install.wim with only Pro (Index 1) and Home (Index 2) in it.

If you "spoof" your browser type to a mobile browser like Dolphin and go to the Windows 10 download site on Microsoft.com, you get the exact same dialog as the ISO download tool provides.

That's a useful download tool. Is Redstone 2 the official Creator's Update release?

you can choose from a lot of versions inclusive windows 7 , office 2007 and so on

choose rs2 home+pro x86 or x64 and you will install
    1703.15063.0
which will be updated [in this moment] via windows update to
    1703.15063.13
    Download Windows 10 ISO File-rs2.jpg

first number = major version (will remain fixed till RS3 if you will not be an insider)
second number = build (will remain fixed till RS3 if you will not be an insider)
third number = update version (will grow up with windows updates)
or you can update it manually to
    1703.15063.14
if you download and install the proper update package
[is available on windows update only for insiders in this moment]

    Edit/
the above program is portable (no setup)
    and
the ISOs are genuine and downloaded from MS site

Build 15063 is the OFFICIAL Redstone 2 release. It is provided by Microsoft using both the Upgrade Tool and the Media Creation Tool on Microsoft's OFFICIAL website:
    Download Windows 10

The only that happens April 11th is Microsoft starts pushing it to computers via Windows Update.

All the links in Option 3 of the Tutorial are currently "non-responsive" (URL comes up in the browser, put the page doesn't load). Happens in IE, Edge, Chrome and Firefox, so I'm pretty sure it's not browser-related. Is MS updating this stuff perhaps? I'm going to grab Enterprise from MSDN and see if I can install that, then try to join Insider again from that perspective. I'll report back. But it anybody knows where those links have gone, I'd be grateful to be enlightened...
    Thanks,
    --Ed--

PS: the HeiDoc.net tool is equally missing the Insider Preview ISOs. Something must be up!
