Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15002 for PC

    Note   Note
Microsoft is working on making Installation media (ISOs) available for Build 15002 in the next week for Windows Insiders to more easily try out this experience.

That's Grade A news for sure! No more fussing with trying to find something to use to make up flash drives when the iso will have it's own installer? It would be interesting to eventually see a self mounting iso come about while the WU downloads have seen the executable when saved to a folder after separate downloads.

Tab previews will certainly make it much easier for Edge users. But I hesitate on the sharing credit info with any browser! as far as having it remember it. I clear out browser histories following any/all online transactions for security reasons. On the other other then that one being brought it would seem MS is finally making some progress with the recently new browser.

Is it just me, or do Options 1 and 2 on the OP now just both take you to the Media Creation Tool web page?

1 and 2 are supposed to go to Media Creation tool. Only 3 goes to IP ISO, and requires registration in IP.

    • Option One: To Directly Download a Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft
    • Option Two: To Download Windows 10 ISO using Media Creation Tool
    • Option Three: To Download Windows 10 Insider Preview ISO from Microsoft

    on Atlanta! And they are!!!

Hmm. Yep, it looks like Microsoft is redirecting the link from Option 1 to the Media Creation Tool to download the ISO with now.

You might want to check again. It's install.esd.

Option 1 used to take you to a Microsoft webpage to download the ISO file directly, which contained install.wim. Now Option 1 takes you to the exact same Media Creation Tool download page that Option 2 does. And you get install.esd in the ISO file.

Option 1 was for directly downloading an ISO from the Microsoft Techbench that used install.wim which was good to use with DISM.

It's a shame it redirects to the Media Creation Tool now that uses install.esd.

The Windows/Office ISO download tool from HeiDoc.net still seems to be fetching the ISO file with install.wim.
