How to Add Windows Security to Control Panel in Windows 10

Windows 10 includes Windows Security, which provides the latest antivirus protection with Microsoft Defender Antivirus. Your device will be actively protected from the moment you start Windows 10. Windows Security continually scans for malware (malicious software), viruses, and security threats. In addition to this real-time protection, updates are downloaded automatically to help keep your device safe and protect it from threats.

This tutorial will show you how to add Windows Security to the Control Panel for all users in Windows 10.

You must be signed in as an administrator to add or remove Windows Security in the Control Panel.

    Here's How:

1 Do step 2 (add) or step 3 (remove) below for what you would like to do.

2 To Add "Windows Security" to Control Panel

    A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

    Add_Windows_Security_to_Control_Panel.reg

    Download

3 To Remove "Windows Security" from Control Panel

    This is the default setting.

    A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

    Remove_Windows_Security_from_Control_Panel.reg

    Download

4 Save the .reg file to your desktop.

5 Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.

6 When prompted, click/tap on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.

7 If the Control Panel is currently open, then close and reopen it to apply.

8 You can now delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.

    That's it,

Good one Shawn, thanks Too many steps in Settings to get to WD and this makes in more convenient. I made a desk top short cut making it really easy to check the status of AV updates etc...
