    Hi Brink
How would the registry file be modified to be able to pin all files (of all extensions), urls, scripts, folders, and drives to the taskbar? Would modifying the Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\* and Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFileSystemObjects entries cover all of the file types listed above?
    Hello,

You wouldn't want to have the "Pin to taskbar" context menu available for all file types since not all of them are able to be pinned to the taskbar.

Got it. What about directly pinning folders (regular, special, hard-links) and drives? Can the reg files be modified to pin them directly without going through the process of creating shortcuts and then pinning those said shortcuts?

I'm not aware of a way to easily do so.

Got it. Thank you for the links to the additional tutorials. So, to pin anything other than exe files, you have to create a shortcut first, right?

Correct. Otherwise, you could pin them to the Jump List of the app on the taskbar.
