My apologies, not the lock screen but the screen where my avatar is and the login where I type my password to log in.

That's correct. The sign-in screen with your avatar can use the same picture as what you set for your lock screen.

I changed the picture. I want to also change the large area of one color to a picture or another bitmap fill not in the color list in Win 10.

I'm sorry Jim, but I don't know what area you mean. Please post a screenshot with it highlighted to see.

I tried a screenshot, logged in, and then copy and paste into Irfanview but it didn't work. I'll have to take a photo with my camera, then find my transfer cable. But I have to be somewhere soon today, so it will be this afternoon or evening before I can post a picture.

You could do so by doing what I posted below by changing your lock screen to this image and setting to show this lock screen picture on your sign-in screen. :)

    Hello Jim, :)

Sure. You could change the lock screen background to use that image (picture), then set to show the lock screen background on your sign-in screen.

Argh. For some reason I didn't see the second link or thought it was part of the first one or something else. Too many things going on.

    Thanks.
