Hi Brink - I know this is an old thread but I have a question that is related.

I'm on Windows 11 using a local account (not signed into any microsoft account). There is only one section in settings where there is no profile photo. My photo shows everywhere else (start menu, login screen, and all of the other settings pages). Is this normal behavior? Is there anyway to get the photo to show on this setting page (first photo below)?

    Hello, and welcome.

Unfortunately, that is normal for a local account on the Accounts page in Settings. It'll show an icon if it was a Microsoft account though.

Thanks, that's good to know. Thanks for the quick reply. I set up a new pc so I'm just ironing out any quirks I see.

While I have you, something odd I also noticed is every time I boot up (from a shut down, not a restart), the start button is always highlighted like this: 2 hosted at ImgBB — ImgBB until I click off. Seems very odd, any thoughts on that one?

Not sure on that one. I've had a few devices where the Start Menu would automatically open at startup instead, but not on other devices.

It was actually the apple icloud app which loads up on startup. But I got rid of the behavior by uninstalling the icloud outlook app that it came with and kept the icloud app itself. Very very strange but no weird white border anymore.
