No registry to disable Scheduled Defrag? :)
No registry to disable Scheduled Defrag? :)
I found the command which could uncheck "Run on a schedule" successfully.
schtasks /Change /Disable /Tn "Microsoft\Windows\Defrag\ScheduledDefrag"
The aforemetioned command used elevated command prompt to finish the job.
I also found the registry keys of the other settings as following.
1. All checked:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Dfrg\TaskSettings]
"fTaskEnabled"=dword:00000001
"fAllVolumes"=dword:00000001
"fDeadlineEnabled"=dword:00000001
"Volumes"=" "
2. All unchecked:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Dfrg\TaskSettings]
"fTaskEnabled"=dword:00000000
"fAllVolumes"=dword:00000000
"fDeadlineEnabled"=dword:00000000
"Volumes"="\\\\?\\Volume{eb49e36c-0822-4917-97cd-3bc50fa16798}\\ \\\\?\\Volume{8caa8caa-0000-0000-0000-100000000000}\\ \\\\?\\Volume{8caa8caa-0000-0000-0000-907474000000}"
But, I failed. They couldn't work for me.
Please let me know that if anyone could success to use the registry keys to modify the settings of scheduled optimization.
Thanks a lot.
