    Hey John,

You could still optimize your SSDs if determined needed if you like. It will TRIM them instead of defrag.

I'm not a fan of registry cleaners. There's just way too much of a risk of an aggressive program doing damage than what very little gain you may get from cleaning/defraging the registry. If one does do so, I would recommend to create a system image first to be on the safe side.

7 and 10 on various machines

Ok Shawn have got that I do image and the small pieces of "change" left from the CC sweep is usually very small if any and I have never to my knowledge had any reg cleaners tune up rubbish used on my machines just the CC .

I have done your Optimise 10 tutorial/s on the machines and did out of curiosity check the TRIM status of the machines and all set ok. I went super pedantic and used the command prompt method and they all came back = 0

I did mean to ask though what the result with ReFS is about? as I haven't seen that before - using 7 of course. Having said that I did get the impression that Microsoft is making changes to the NTFS system?? and such changes makes me feel a little "edgy" as to what those changes if I have it right are going to impact on.

I have a data HDD that has been formatted with ReFS for a while now, and so far I haven't had any issues with it.

I haven't heard about any changes for NTFS though.

Thanks Shawn I shall have to do some reading up on that to see just what it involves. I suppose if it is going to make things a little easier then all well and good.

By the by am getting quite used to using 10 as much as 7 now and after you have picked yourself up off of the floor grab a cup a caffeine mate

Those seem pretty harmless, but I don't trust any registry cleaner 100%.
