    Thank you

    How you know and remember all these little techniques is beyond me. Thank you, though. I have been a follower since Windows 7 and your forum has never failed me.

    My status bar has been missing since the July 2019 Win 10 update. I have tried both of these things, and it still won't come back!
    Something new is going on and I can't figure it out.

    Hello @Prof59,

    Please go ahead and post a screenshot of your File Explorer to see if anything may stand out as a cause.

    Any 3rd party programs installed that would affect File Explorer? For example: Classic Shell.

    Those keystroke commands are awesome and greatly appreciated. As someone who prefers detailed view 99% of the time, I can't imagine why I never researched this before. Thanks for improving my enjoyment factor while using Windows. Cheers,

    I don't use any 3rd party things that should affect it, and if Windows Shell is on, it happened without my permission. I do use Winaero Tweaker to restore font size to a legible level after updates, but it doesn't control the status bar setting.

    Thanks

    @Prof59,

    Have you already manually verified if the registry settings were applied?

    Yes, I led with that, but here's a pic. Also a pic of the folder setting. I can't think of anything else to take a screenshot for.
