    Hi Brink,

I accidentally associated my bps files with internet explorer and I need it to unassociate it for it to work with the program I am attempting to use.

    Thank you!

Hi, just wondering what you regard a bps file type as being...

    A 'hack':
BPS Files - Frequently Asked Questions - SMW Central
Question: What is a BPS file?
Answer: A BPS file is a patch containing (for instance) a hack. By patching this file to an unmodified ROM image of SMW, you will get the hack which lies in the BPS patch.
Question: Why use patches instead of ROMs?
Answer: Because giving away commercial ROM files is illegal. The patch contains only the differences between the full hack and the original ROM. This way, hacks can be given away legally.

BPS File Extension - What is a .bps file and how do I open it?
    File used by "BPS" malware
programs such as "SpywareCops," "AdwareBlaster," or "Spyware and Adware Remover;" contains data for the virus to run and infect the computer; should be quarantined with the remaining malware files using an anti-virus program.

Hello Knine, and welcome to Ten Forums.

Here's a .reg file that will unassociate .bps files for you.

Hi Brink! I accidentally set all my .package files to open using a program that just doesn't want to disassociate with them. I was hoping you maybe would have a file for .package files.

Hello @giannaislame, and welcome to Ten Forums.

I have added a .reg file for Package in the table of Option 2 in the tutorial that should fix this for you.

    Shawn;

could you make a doc & docx? Since installing win10, my doc/docx are opening with warnings. Thread with more explanation is linked below. Actually I guess I need all word extensions. Just tried dot & dotx and they issue the same warning.

I could make one to unassociate them, but that's not what you would want since you want Word 2013 to be the default app.

I posted something in your original thread to see what it may do.

I tried this to get my files in order instead I ended up with a mess. I have extra files everywhere I was trying to seen a screen under the tutorial, and ended up with a bigger mess. I need to the this Admin away from myself. The more I try to do, the worse it gets.
