    Hi Brink,

Recently I was trying to show someone how to extract some .pack files from WinRar when I accidentally set all of my own .pack files to open with UTorrent. Now, all of the files have have the UTorrent icon, but they are still .pack files. I have tried multiple things to fix this but nothing has worked. I had this same problem once before on my iMac (running bootcamp) but I was able to just restore it back to a few minutes earlier before it happened. However, on this laptop my restore point was for some reason defaulted to "off", so I have no way of restoring it to a clean backup.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

Hi Brink. Can you do one for .bin files?

I associated it with notepad by accident. Then after reading online about this I tried the suggestion to change the association of a bin file to a nonsense file and then deleted the nonsense file but now in "choose default apps by file type" it just shows an empty blue square next to .bin instead of "choose a default".

    Hello @tomseys, :)

I have added "bin" to Option Two to help.
