Here are 2 screenshots context menus, one at folder lever, and one at individual file level. Notice three different status columns have been selected but none of them show OneDrive file status as per your screenshots in article. Trust images are clear enough.
Yep, your screenshots still show the green check mark for the files.

You might see if toggling the folder view to large icons and back to details may sort the column issue. You should only have one "Status" column.

Does clicking on "Free up space" on the files themselves instead of the parent folder do anything?

Have tried opening two ways, fromOneDrive icon in the notification area, and also through Windows Explorer. FYI I am signed into OneDrive for Business using a Work account.

If I try and open from apps in start menu then it just asks me what library I want to sync when I am already logged into the app.

Have toggled view to a few different options and back to Details. Have also tried clicking Free up Space on individual files. Nothing works though to change their status.

If you haven't already, you might see if toggling off and on Files on-demand to see if that may sort it if it's just a glitch.

Had tried that before but did it again. No luck. However when I turn files on demand off, OneDrive shuts down totally. Had to restart to get it back up again.

Hopefully, a new build may sort this bug for you.

There's a new Windows 10 build 16288 released to day to Insiders in the Fast ring, but it's currently having issues in Windows Update right now. Maybe later, it'll be available for all.

OK, thanks. I'm still on 16281 so will wait for update and see if that fixes it.
