    Thanks Shawn,

    I think I have found a new way to record my programmes using this feature. I was getting very choppy playback on my new laptop using OBS but this could be an excellent alternative, once I get used to it.

    An informative post indeed! However, I already gave up on gamebar since it lags most of the time for me. Hope they can fix some bugs on the next update. For the meantime I'm just using free screen recorder as an alternative.

    I challenge you to open open file explorer (Win + E) and record video of that window.

    I sometimes used to run W10/W11 in a Hyper-V virtual machine, and Win+G would record the Hyper_V window including FE.

    Yes, but can you record Explorer in host machine with Win + G?

    No that's my point - you can record everythying in a vm. So do actions you wish to record in vm and record vm window.
