I have a MBR drive on which W10 and W8.1 are installed and selectively boot by switching the active partition.
I tried EaseUS Partition Master to convert the drive type to GPT and found the W10 still booted but W8.1 did not.
What utility allows converting the drive type to GPT for the dual boot system as above?
The reason only W10 still booted was because that is the partition that was marked as active during the MBR to GPT partition so that was the OS that was added to the newly created EFI System Partition. After the conversion was completed, you could have added the Windows 8.1 partition to the boot menu with the bcdboot command.
I tried the conversion from MBR to GPT again. But for some reason W8.1 booted instead of W10.
W10 partition cannot be activated by Disk Management or EaseUS Partition Master. I tried to add W10 to the menu but the situation remains unchanged. I am not sure if I added W10 to the menu correctly. Presently no boot menu is displayed during the boot process.
Could anyone help me add the W10 to the boot menu?
