    I'll be happy to look into what I can do tomorrow since it's been so busy today.

    They can also add the .cab file to Quick Launch. :)
    I would imagine it will be a busy week or so for all staff Brink & the Quick Launch is a good one too.

    @Brink would it be possible for you to add to the tutorial (or create a new one) your method of how to create a Windows Update - Show or Hide shortcut so members can access it from the "All Apps" menu or pin to the "Start Menu".

    This way it would not be necessary to re download the troubleshooter each time someone wishes to Show or Hide an update if the original download was deleted.
    @IownAmoneyPit

    Done. Tip added in tutorial for it. :)

    Did exactly what IownAmoneyPit mentioned in his first page post
    created one folder in Program Files named Windows Update - Show or Hide ( contains .Cab file) then created a shortcut (Dektop) with the same name which I then placed in the "C:ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

    Windows Update - Show or Hide folder shows in All Apps but when i click folder it opens Program Files\Windows Update - Show or Hide folder then i have click .cab file.
    is there any way i can directly open it from All apps like other program?

    Sorry for my Bad English...............

    Hello Mart,

    You'll need to create a shortcut of the .cab file first, then add that shortcut to All apps. :)

    From another Junior Member:
    You can stop Windows updating a particular driver by configuring policies as below:

    Run "gpedit.msc" --> Computer Configuration --> Administrative Templates --> System --> Device Installation --> Device Installation Restrictions --> (Double Click) Prevent installation of devices that match any of these device IDs or Prevent installation of devices not described by other policy settings --> Select "Enabled" and perform the necessary changes.
    Detailed procedure:

    p.s. To allow Windows to install/update drivers for this device again, perform the above and set it back to "Not Configured".
