    WUShowHide is broken.
I'm worn out trying. I even re-downloaded the tool as, looking at the website, it appeared to have been updated for the Anniversary Update - no difference.
Turned off driver updates altogether - no difference. WU insisted on updating by rolling back Nvidia Graphics to the previous version. I'm not too concerned as at least that is a recent version and not some prehistoric one.
(Remember when WU always found "updates" for other software that were antiques?).
I think maybe it's because Graphics updates are no longer just a driver. They are a software suite unto themselves.
All I've ended up with is that advanced option once again greyed out and now it is stuck in that state.
I just hope I get Office Updates still.
Microsoft really flubbed this one - they should have left WU well alone or at least put ALL the settings in one place.

Neither Gpedit nor WUShowHide hide work to stop my graphics card from downgrading...How can WU consider thatr an update?

    Hello Peter, :)

Check to see if it may the be graphic card's software (ex: GeForce Experience) that is automatically updating the driver.

It's set only to show when an update is available and of course, is now advising one is available (once again) since WU actually downgraded the driver.
I give up...it's not the end of the world but really MS have gone too far with their taking away flexibility.
WU should never be offering an "update" that is actually a downgrade in the first place.

I have a GTX 1070 and wushowhide enabled me to hide the latest driver which I don't want. I did a clean installation of the anniversary update offline and before connecting the ethernet cable I made sure all automatic paternal stuff was disabled. Then I ran wushowhide, hid the latest driver, ran windows update, and I'm still on 368.81. Either there's a variable you're missing or maybe it's a bug where you can only hide the driver if the driver from windows update is newer than the installed one.

That last idea may be the answer as I can't think of anything else.

    Hey Peter, (@Ex_Brit)

Why don't you try this option: Prevent Installation of a Device by Hardware ID

It solved the problem with my camera, which Windows 10 insisted to update and the camera was becoming unusable.

If you don't manage to do it, please send me a pm, so I can e-mail you a step-by-step guide to do it.

Dimitri, I assume entering only the 1st line from the attached suffices, right? Unfortunately this has the adverse side-effect of disabling the current driver also, so the screen lapses to lo-res.

Didn't help see above. It worked TOO well. Maybe I'm missing something.
