Hello jpn5imp1, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

Are the updates you want to hide already installed or downloaded?

Are you able to just pin IE back to the taskbar?

no, I go to start and click on IE and it will show up until it reinstalls updates again. It will let me pin it to the start screen but not the taskbar

Is there any other reason why you wanted to uninstall the updates?

This way you can leave the updates installed along with having IE pinned to taskbar.

I went to that (internet explorer-open windows and there was a check mark in the box at that time, so what else can I do? That is the only reason I want to uninstall and hide it is to keep IE in the taskbar so it will not remove it when it reinstalls.

WUShowHide doesn't seem to work any more at hiding, for instance, graphics driver updates. WU still installs the version one before the current one. In this case I really am not too bothered as it's only a slightly out-of-date one, but am wondering why suddenly it isn't working. it appears the Anniversary update may have done something to it.
Does the tool update itself by the way?

    Hello Peter, :)

You might see if using the method in the tutorial below to disable including driver updates in Windows Update may help.

Yes, thanks. I'll try that. That occurred to me after I posted.
I was surprised the tool didn't work in that instance.
