That's normal when used without the /resetbase switch.

Run this first to see if there's anything to cleanup.

Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore

Normal, too. the 10% found things to compress/backup/etc., and the 100% (probably creeped along) did the work.

I find this extremely worrying. Well, is there a trick with gpedit or a registry hack to delete this 30 days delay, blocking me to cleanup the WinSxS folder after running a checking test?

Hello B.B., and welcome to Ten Forums.

The 30 days delay only applies to the automatic task. You should be able to manually run the DISM command to clean on demand. Option 3 is the most thorough.
