This is for 1903. I found a group policy for Windows 8.1 which states it is not supported in Windows 10.
Is there a way to turn this off for 1809 LTSC via registry?
I tried running regfromapp to see it I could capture what registry setting is changed but it doesn't show anything.

    Hello,

Did you already try option 2?

Yes. I can't tell if it's working though as when I look at the settings none of the radio buttons are selected and when I select one, change screen and come back they are all deselected again.

The searchsettings key is not present on 1809. Changing the selection via the settings app does not create the key, regardless of what value is selected. I've checked all 10 PCs here and they are all the same.

See if you may be able to capture it using Process Monitor.

    I searched using the filters:
    • Operation = RegSetValue
    • Process Name = SystemSettings.exe

    Thanks for that.
Unfortunately, that did not capture any registry changes.
This PC has been tweaked so I'm going to do a clean install on my test PC and see if I can capture it that way. Will let you know how it goes.
