Just had to System Restore as the latest Cumulative Update again wiped MS Store and several of my apps off the face of the Earth.
    What is going on?
That time wsreset failed to work saying I need an app.
    Yes I know that already....!!!
Sys Rest worked but only until this darn thing updates.

Meanwhile, has anyone else experienced this?
    I'm terrified to install these:

Ok, I restarted and was given no option but to install them even though I clicked 'Restart' rather than 'Update and Restart'.
This time I got a popup stating app can't be started. The App in question was 'Transparent Taskbar' (checker board icon as there are others).
Now I've manually started it and made that setting permanent.
This time MS Store was saved from the axe!!

As a footnote: I have now used wsreset -i elevated Cmd or Powershell 6 times.
    and/or reset the cache:

    1. Press the Windows+R keys on your keyboard to open the Run dialog.

    2. Type WSReset.exe, and click/tap on OK.

    3. In Windows 8 and Windows RT, the Store will now open, and state the following: The cache for the store was cleared. You can now browse the store for apps.

MS are slipping into poor quality checking in their updates.
This last time was not after any major update either, not sure what happened there.
