The most bizarre startup occurred today. Yesterday all was normal but when I powered up this morning I was greeted with a popup on my taskbar, "Nvidia Control Panel not found". Also I am used to a transparent taskbar thanks to the Chengcong's "Transparent Taskbar" App which is always the last item to startup when I switch on the PC and login.
Not only was it missing, but the Microsoft Store was not. working. Thanks to this Tute it is now working and I re-dowloaded and installed the App. That, the Store and nVidia CP are the only apps now showing in my library. I'll see what another reboo9t will do.

Restarted and they are the only apps in my Library. In a way that's good because the vast majority of them were useless to me. However there may be Apps I will miss at some stage in the future and will have to reinstall.
The question is why would this happen?

    Hello Peter,

Does it show you are signed in to the Microsoft Store app with your Microsoft account?

    Yes.
I should have mentioned that the only things I have done lately are add my ISP's McAfee Protection. I also have had for ages now, Malwarebytes Pro, but I always have kept that deactivated in favour of McAfee w/Windows Defender set to occasional scan. Also yesterday I used Easeus Partition Manager to clone my W10 to another drive. I do that every month.
MBAM is run once a week just in case and there's nothing quarantined. Same with McAfee and WD.

Hmm. Something sure seems to have made a mess of the Microsoft Store app.

Hopefully, you won't have to manually reinstall too many apps.

    Thanks for the link.
I don't think this warrants an in-place upgrade......yet anyway. We shall see.
My first thought was clashing A/V but with MBAM disabled 99% of the time I doubt that.
Plus a possible rootkit or similar but checks have not found anything.
It'll be interesting to see just how many apps I need reinstalling.

I reinstalled everything I needed from that list, thanks. Note: Notepad there is for W11 so I already have the old W7 one.

I have W11 installed on another partition. I hope it isn't causing this.
