    Odd. May consider doing a repair install to see if it may fix it without losing anything.

    Thank you, Brink. I’ll try later. Need to download from uupdump to make an iso. Maybe Tuesday. Next two days are rather filled with non-computer things. All my other computers are working and ms store is intact on all of them.

    Sorry, I am new here and cannot find a more recent thread related to Microsoft Store. I have attempted to run the script to re-register Microsoft Store without success. Attachment 282793

    For some reason, my account is missing the Windows Calculator app and MSFT Store. I would rather not do a Reset because I have licensed software that the vendor renewed the license key for me when I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10. Can someone help me with this?

    Thank you,
    TechWizard

    Hello TechWizard, and welcome to Ten Forums.

    Test using one of the commands in PowerShell from the tutorial just to rule it out.

    If it still reports the Microsoft Store package doesn't exist, then you could do a repair install of Windows 10 without losing anything to restore the app.

    Thank you very much for your timely reply, Brink. I finally copied and pasted the script for Microsoft Store for All Users that Shawn put up:

    Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

    and it worked! Hopefully this will help others with the same issue.

    Thanks,

    I apologize for this question but I googled Microsoft thus far and I haven't found a plain and simple answer to this question. I also looked on this forum and I haven't found a recent thread related where someone answered this question.
    Are you not "re-registering" Microsoft.WindowsStore_12009.1001.1.0_x64_8wekyb3d8bbwe ?
    If so, then what does "re-registering" do ?

    The Cambridge Oxford dictionary definition for the (verb) register is:
    "to put information, especially your name, into an official list or record"

    Sorry if I sound dense. Maybe someone could explain in plain English what "re-registering MS Store app" is doing since the PS command isn't resetting or re-installing anything.

    The issue I'm going through is the two past attempts I made have failed when I updated the WindowsStore app from the MS Store.
