Since the "System Reserved E:" partition is at the front of the disk, I would just remove the "E" drive letter so it doesn't show up in File Explorer, and let it be to avoid possible issues from trying to remove it.

Well, I have decided to do a clean install. In fact, I bought a new M.2 memory to install Windows from scratch there, and leave my ssd as a slave disk. I want to do a clean install UEFI from USB media. Taking advantage of the installation environment, I would format the ssd so that there is only one slave partition left, and problem solved.Hello @smrdelj,

So to do a UEFI install from scratch, what would you recommend me? Making an UEFI bootable USB with Rufus and a W10 iso?
My question arises because last week I did a clean install on a pc with a blank ssd disk. I installed Windows 10 Pro starting from a bootable USB created with the official Media Creation Tool. The installation went perfectly, but when I went to verify I noticed that the installation had been BIOS / Legacy. At no point during the boot did anything allow me to distinguish if I was installing UEFI or BIOS. It directly installed Legacy. To prevent the same thing from happening to me again, I believe that the most effective thing would be to create an installation USB with Rufus that ONLY and without margin of error installs in UEFI. Otherwise, is it possible to do a UEFI installation starting from the USB created with the Media Creation Tool? How?

Disconnect the SSD before installing windows, just the power cable. Hook it back up after you install windows, then do whatever you want to it.

Set your boot option in the Bios to UEFI only. ( You don`t have to do this, it can be left at Legacy & UEFI ) that choice is entirely up to you.
Use the boot menu key to bring up your booting options, choose the UEFI usb stick installer from the list.
Choose GPT for UEFI when using Rufus.

Ok, but how can I ensure that the installation is done UEFI? I just edited my previous message adding this question. ThanksDisconnect all/any other drives before installing windows, hook it up after you install windows, then do whatever you want to it.

You can use step 6 or 7 in the tutorial below with Rufus to create a Windows 10 installation USB that supports clean installing with UEFI.

Migration issue - I merged a UEFI drive with a legacy windows partition. I ran utilities to fix UEFI issues and it seemed to be working fine. After multiple reboots, then leaving it off for the night, it boots to startup repair loop. When dismounting the drive and running check disk, it ran for many hours saying it was fixing the drive. Finally a new boot, with a startup repair and it worked, with no apparent damage to the files, only for this nightmare to start over again. In many attempts to get this right, I reinstalled windows several times because the install process would not work properly. This is with UEFI and no legacy migration. So, I ended up working with the original one I had transferred to an external drive. I am thinking that I may have a bad drive or can this be a migration issue?
