I would think you could resume trying mbr2gpt again since you have 3 partitions and unallocated space now.
Got the same error as before

The only thing that page says is to try the Move/Resize feature, and i mean i moved the unallocated space to in front of the C: parition but that just made me go back to square 1 "Cannot find room for the EFI system partition". When i moved it back to behind the C: parition it got back to the second error i ran into. So again, sadly, I'm stuck (well next to the paid options ofc)

"6. An All-in-one Solution for MBR2GPT Failed Error"

You could try letting the tool do the conversion.

Diskgenius free edition can do mbr>gpt conversion and create the esp and msr partitions. You can then use bcdboot to add the boot files to the esp partition.

Pretty sure I posted screenshots on here somewhere.

Expand the C: partition using unallocated space, then defragment the c: drive, then reduce the C: drive by 2 GB and try mbr2gpt again. Maybe there's too much disk fragmentation right now causing the failure - I'm speculating.

About how long does it take from time you start mbr2gpt until it ends/fails?

Left to right in this order:
    Reserved by system
    C: (inc startup)
    Not in use
    Recovery

    "Not in use" = Unalllocated
